Carving Classes:
Have been re-scheduled to the second Wednesday of the month starting at 7.00pm. the first class is on the 11th April 2007.All members welcome.
WORKSHOP 28th and 29th JULY 2007 SILVERWORK FOR BEGINNERS
8.45am till 3.30pm This workshop based on the project of mounting a cabochon in a bezel. In making the bezel you will learn the basics of cutting ,shaping, forming and filing silver. Then you will clean and solder the parts of the bezel and prepare it to mount the cabochon. If you have a cabochon bring it along. Bring your lunch , tea and coffee will be supplied. Cost for weekend is $25 to cover cost of materials. To register for this workshop leave your name in the folder at the clubroom.
LAPIDARY CLASSES
Your responses to the recent questionnaire has resulted in the following new lapidary class program. The Following are short term classes and intending participants should register by leaving their name in the folder at the clubrooms. There will be information sheets in this folder for these classes.
ENAMELLING 23rd JUNE 2007 from 9.30am
Shirley Williams will hold a information session to introduce you to enamelling and discuss requirements for the series of classes. Classes commence on the Saturday 30th June 2007 at 9.00am till 12.00 noon and will run for five weeks.
WIRE WRAPPING TUESDAY 26th JUNE 2007. From 9.30AM till 11.30am .
Classes will run for five weeks. This class is open to all members from beginners upwards. Peggy Monck will be teaching the art of wire wrapping.
FACETING 26th JUNE 2007 from 7.30pm.
This is a information session for all members wanting to facet. From this session six week classes will be organized for beginners and learners as required.
GEM TREES WEDNESDAY 4th JULY 2007 9.00AM TILL 12.00 NOON
Classes will run for four weeks. Joan Sheppard will teach members the art of gem tree making using wire and gemstone chips.
BEADING WEDNESDAY 8th AUGUST 2007 From 9.30am till 11.30am.
Classes will run for three weeks. For Beginners Jan Cahill will teach seed beading with the project being a Spiral Necklace.

CLASS ATTENDANCE BOOK You are required to sign the attendance book each time you attend a class. This is to meet insurance requirements and to help the secretary compile the” Hall Usage Report “ which is required by Wollongong City Council each month. There is now one book for all classes, please help by recording your class attendance. All classes are $3 per session, this cost is to help maintain and update equipment.
